Do agree with shut down your screen, well I think we need technology to grow and be successful, and I’m going to show you why you should to.
One way we need technology is easy information, and Peter Norvig, a director of research agrees when he said this, “Suppose I’m interested in the guidance computers on the Apollo spacecraft in the 1960s. My local library has no books on that specific subject”. This shows that a simple Google search is very helpful and a library may not have what you need.
Another way is that technology can help our brain, some righting in an article by Matt Richtel says, “Technology use can benefit the brain in some ways, researchers say. Imaging studies show the brains of internet users become more efficient at finding information. And players some of video games develop better visual activity” This shows that technology in proofs our brain.
Finally another piece of Matt’s article shows that we need technology to have more time and escape to their workplace and do it elsewhere, and the article states, “More broadly, cellphones and computers have transformed life. They let people escape their cubicles and work anywhere. They shrink distances and handle countless mundane task, freeing time for more exiting pursuits.” This shows technology saves time by doing task for us instead of doing it yourself.
In conclusion we need technology to be successful, and is shut down your screen week really that great?
Hyena Facts
INTRO- I am writing about the spotted hyena. They are furious scavengers that don’t kid around. If you’re interested read the 4 sections below.
HUNTING HABBITS- Hyenas are not picky eaters. They scavenge any animal and hunt a few animals. Hyenas will eat every piece of meat from a carcass they find. I mean ALL carcasses. They have three preferred prey. wildebeast, zebra, and antelope. Hyenas try to eat as much as they can before the bigger prey. Finally, hyenas usually hunt in pacts of 2 to 5.
HABITAT- Hyenas live in certain habitats. These habitats consist of savannas, grasslands, woodlands, forest edges, sub-deserts and mountains. The mountains are usually a height of 13,000 ft. Savannas are in Africa and are very grassy with little trees. Grasslands cover 25% of the earth and are sometimes called savannas. Woodlands are low density forest with lot of animals (like hyenas). Sub-deserts cover 20% of the world and are extremely cold at night.
ADAPTAIONS- Hyenas have some interesting adaptations. These adaptations are, keen hearing, another one is powerful jaws. Another adaptation is their “Laugh”. There are many more but I’m just showing these three. What they use their adaptations for is, to listen for animals to scavenge. Bit through though parts of the animals they find. The third adaptation is used as a form of calling.
PREY/PREDATORS- Hyenas are not really hunted by much. They are a very intimidating creature, that’s why. The only things that hunt them are humans and lions. There are reasons why they hunt them. Lions hunt them when they try to steal their hunts (food). And humans hunt them for two reasons, food and medicine.
CONCLUSION- In conclusion hyenas are furious scavengers that don’t kid around.

If we were to lose all our sea life what would happen? Read ahead to find out. if we lost Krill Baleen Whales, small fish, and jelly-fish. Just one fish could kill three sea life. If more had gone extincted, what would you do?

David Bowie the Famous singer died January 10 from a hard 18 month fight with cancer. David made a whole 25 albums and starred in lots of movies and his original name was David Jones and some people he inspired are Kanya West and Pharrell Williams. David Bowie’s kids and wife Iman, Duncan and Alexandrea are grieving over his passing.

GOAL: I would like to see your body paragraphs be a little longer. Concentrate on the explanation part of these paragraphs. By using more detail in describing why Malala is courageous we can learn more about her story.
A good essay. Congrats! Mr.W Malala the Powerful Have you stuck out your neck for your rights? Even if you’ll get killed and possibly tortured? In the poem In Darkest Hours , Malala Yousafzai fits the description of the person in the poem that was courageous. Malala still went to school even when the Taliban told all girls they can’t go. In the poem, In Darkest Hours it describes a courageous person, like Malala who is very courageous. “…she was also a courageous fighter…” She defied the Taliban by speaking against them and their ways. If she got caught by the Taliban she would get killed or even tortured.
Another reason she’s courageous is, even though “…hundreds of schools were being bombed…” she still went to school. Even when it got horrifying.
The final way is, no matter what happened she fought with “…fierce determination…” and wrote about her life in a blog even when the Taliban sent her letters to stop and threatened her.
In conclusion Malala was a courageous fighter like the poem. She defied the Taliban by going to school and blogging her life. When you complain about going to school, think about what Malala and what she did so she could go to school and learn.
